I work with all ages however specialise as a Youth Counsellor, working in community settings in the South of Glasgow. I also work with adults through EAP counselling and facilitate a bereavement support group. I run a private practice in the Southside of Glasgow and in Darvel, East Ayrshire. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP and adhere to their professional and ethical guidelines.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am experienced in providing short or long term evidence based therapeutic relationships to young people in a variety of settings, such as in Secondary Schools, GP practices, Community drop ins and Community Centres in the South of Glasgow and in Private practice.
I have experience in working with difficulties around bereavement/loss, trauma, anxiety/fear, isolation/loneliness, cyber bullying/trauma, depression, suicidal ideation/self harm, sexual identity, anger management, disability, substance misuse, self esteem/ confidence, to name a few areas I work with.
I have worked with a variety of age groups since I began my first placement in 2010 and have developed my practice and creativity to suit the needs of the person I work with. I work from a Person Centered tradition and complement this with Emotion Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
I receive regular clinical supervision and seek out continuous professional development CPD in line with the recommendations of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My Counselling room is light, friendly and warm within a relaxed country setting. There is also private parking for ease of access and privacy.
I charge £40 per hour from my Darvel, East Ayrshire practice. Please note that there are stairs leading up to my counselling room which may make wheel chair access difficult.
I charge £50 per hour from my Glasgow, South Side practice.
