Dominika Plucha (Dip. Therapeutic Counselling)
4 Barnfield Hill
Hello and welcome to my page.
Are you feeling helpless?
Unsure how to cope?
Feeling 'stuck' and uncertain which direction to take in your life?
I'm here to listen. I offer a confidential and non-judgmental environment where you are free to talk about your concerns.
People often seek counselling when they feel in distress or unable to cope with everyday life because a present or past issue/trauma has risen to surface. This is often the case; however, it can be helpful to seek counselling if you have an interest in exploring and gaining a better understanding of yourself.
Working as a counsellor is my greatest passion. I feel honoured for being allowed to support clients through challenging times in their lives and seeing my clients transition during the therapy, which can lead to personal growth, positive change and an overall improvement in their lives.
I qualified as an integrative counsellor and I’m a member of BACP. I practice privately in Exeter and in addition I can facilitate counselling via Skype.
I'm bilingual and fluent in English and Polish. I can facilitate my counselling sessions in Polish. I have worked within a counselling service at the NHS and also in a mental health charity.
I consider each client as unique and individual, which is the reason why I choose to work within the 'integrative' approach.
Working within the 'integrative' approach means I combine and bring together different elements of therapies and techniques, which vary depending my clients individual needs.
I have experience working in short-term and long term client work and the pace you want to work within is entirely up to you. It’s very important to me that you feel safe and comfortable during the counselling sessions and therefore I will never ‘push you’ to reveal anything you don’t feel comfortable talking about.
I provide the highest level of confidentiality possible, according to the law and the Code of Ethics of BACP. I'm fully insured and DBS checked.
