About me

Hello and welcome to my profile!

My name is Divina and I am a qualified counsellor who offers one to one counselling sessions in Harrow or via Zoom.

Life can be hard, challenging and demanding at times and we could all use someone to talk to and explore our thoughts and feelings with. As an experienced person-centred therapist, with a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling, I am able to offer you a safe and confidential space. I can support your needs in a non judgemental and open environment - which can enable genuine change to occur in your life.

Daily life can be problematic and stressful hence why I can provide you with an authentic, understanding and empathic therapeutic relationship. By exploring your thoughts in therapy with me, I can help to support you on your personal journey. Allowing you to reach a place where you feel content, a sense of growth and self-development.

So why counselling? Do you have a hard time setting boundaries for yourself? Or is it maybe that you're feeling nervous and anxious? Maybe you need some support around personal goal setting? Or perhaps you feel traumatic events in your life have left you feeling stuck? Things don't have to be this way, counselling could help to provide an element of change to occur in your life.

There is a reason you are currently reading through my profile - do not hesitate to email, text or call me with any questions you may have. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation, so why not get in touch!?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA Hons in Humanistic Counselling, from the University of Nottingham. Alongside my degree I have been on a number of training courses that have included work with domestic violence, depression, eating disorders and goal setting.

I have worked with many people, within different organisations for several years, who have presented in diverse issues and problems such as trauma, depression, anxiety and clients who have been through forms of abuse (with adults, young people and children).

I am a member of the BACP as well as my course being accredited by the National Counselling Society.

I have training in other areas and throughout the year, I attend a wide range of workshops and training days.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
