Jimi D Katsis Depression & Anxiety Specialist
As a partner, parent, and all-round human being, it's incredible just how much stress and anxiety just being those, creates. That's without the addition of genetics, life baggage, trauma, and crisis.
Working out why you feel what you feel and how to move on to a happier place is, I believe about exploring three fundamental ideas. Where you've been - Where you are, and Where you want to be. If you are stuck in your life due to depression, anxiety, trauma, or a crisis, working out how to move on and live a full life needs to be a big priority for you to live the life you deserve.
My training is not just academic. I have been a parent, partner, worker, business owner, friend, and confidant. I have experienced deep depression, anxiety, crisis, and traumas.
My real value to the people I support is having lived through all the dark and painful experiences I have endured, and how I developed my knowledge and training to rescue myself. I truly understand the dark depths of depression and how its power can rob a person of every happy feeling and hold you in a grip that feels impossible to escape. Anxiety often links to depression and paralyses free will and thought, often creating so much noise in your head that it can immobilise the simplest of reactions.
I work to create a trusting, accepting relationship with those I support. A relationship that offers a safe and confidential place where we can explore the themes, patterns, traumas that have led you to feel what you are feeling.
You've come this far to find someone that can help unravel why you feel what you feel. Take the next step and get in touch. There is no charge for the first session, so we can see if we fit.

Training, qualifications & experience
After undertaking my degree in Counseling Psychotherapy I went on work with several charities offering counseling to a range of groups and individuals. Over the years I developed a private practice offering therapeutic support to a wide range of clients. British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
