About me

I believe that we are all perfect human beings trying our best to navigate the complexities of life.

It’s my job to help you to make sense of how the past influences your present so that you can have a future which realises your full potential.

I have many years experience of sitting in rooms with people and listening to their stories in a range of professional contexts.  It is still the work I consider to be of the highest privilege.

My main therapy training is psychodynamic.  I also have experience in person-centred counselling, cognitive-behavioural therapy, brief solution-focused therapy and compassion-focused therapy.  I use my full range of experience to offer you a bespoke service.  I am also particularly interested in epigenetics and how inter-generational trauma can be passed on from person to person.

I am trained in outdoor therapy and am able to offer that as a service if you feel particularly connected to the outdoors.

I am happy to work with anyone who feels like they fit with me.  I welcome people who have experience of the criminal justice system and have worked in forensic settings for a number of years.

Training, qualifications & experience

My core therapy training is in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Tavistock Clinic.  I have also completed the CPCAB Level 5 award in counselling psychotherapy.

I have experience in working with CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person Centred Counselling and I am trained to use Compassion Focused Therapy.  Additionally I have training in Outdoor Therapy.
