As an integrative therapist, I regularly work with individuals, couples and young people who struggle with issues such as Anxiety disorders, depression, low self-esteem, panic attacks, Family related issues, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anger management issues, Couples/Relationship issues, Bereavement and gambling addiction.
Are you struggling with some of the issues above? Perhaps you have tried to work on them yourself but are feeling stuck or lost? Is it time you dealt with your problems and moved forward with your life? I am able to work with many more issues that life presents so please contact me for an initial chat to see how I can help you.
I am a qualified Integrative counsellor/psychotherapist covering Harrogate, Knaresborough and surrounding areas in North Yorkshire and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in an empathic, person centred way, with my clients needs at the forefront of all work I undertake. I am able to use my training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), short term dynamic therapy, psychodynamic therapy and relationship training to help individuals work on their issues.
You may be looking for counselling because you are struggling with generalised anxiety, a relationship or family issue, It could be that you simply feel that you have identified issues that you felt you had dealt with and now want to make changes to your life and would like some help, support or to speak to someone who is impartial and not a friend or family member.
A good, trusting counselling relationship is important to help you to overcome problems and to help you understand and overcome difficulties in life. I ensure that counselling provides an opportunity for you to make sense of your life experiences. Working together we can explore problems that have arisen and work out new coping strategies to ensure good emotion resilience in future.
If you feel it's time to move forward, then please contact me to discuss your concerns and to arrange an initial assessment.
During our initial assessment, we can then work together on the best way to help you move forward with your life. This might mean meeting for regular sessions however, some clients find that just one session is enough to gain clarity about your issue. We can have telephone sessions, meet face to face or via online methods for instance Skype, Zoom and FaceTime.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
