About me

Welcome, below is a little about me and what working with me maybe like. If you have any questions please ask.

There are countless reasons why you maybe considering counselling, all are valid.  You maybe in crisis, struggling or feeling like you are surviving rather than living.

Counselling can be bring about changes within yourself and your life. It can be healing, give clarity and improve your relationship with yourself and others.

My Approach

I have an open and down to earth approach. I create a warm and safe environment, for you to explore what is troubling you. I offer a confidential, supportive and non- judgemental space.

I work with clients from a wide variety of back grounds and with different issues.

You may have something specific you wish to explore or you may want to explore well being and general issues.  You may be coming to therapy to process a particular event or certain feelings. Whatever bring you are welcome.

I have a particular interest in living our fullest life, the authentic self, anxiety, trauma, ADHD in adults, self esteem, self compassion, developing intuition and inner wisdom.

I offer both short term and also longer open ended work. Throughout our time working together we will review our work; this is to make sure that you are getting as much from our sessions as possible.

Finding the counsellor who is right for you is important. I offer an initial session for £25 this is an opportunity for us to get a feel as to whether we can work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
