Diane Moran MBACP (reg) Dip.CBT, Dip. Person Centred Counselling
Hello, I'm Diane and welcome to my profile
I am a qualified Counsellor and CBT Therapist and I understand considering counselling can be a daunting one. Perhaps you are filled with many emotions, thoughts and concerns and you may have many questions? I offer an initial free 20-minute phone consultation to ensure that you are fully aware of what you can expect in therapy from me. I am truly passionate that finding the right counsellor for you is the foundation that leads to the change you want to see.
Due to the very uncertain times we are faced with during the pandemic and current lockdown I am currently offering sessions via Zoom or Telephone.
About me and what can I offer during your sessions?
I have experience working with adults with mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, low self-confidence, bereavement and loss, health anxiety and a further lists of areas are noted at the bottom of my profile so please do have a look. Above all, my approach during your therapy is to provide you with an empathetic and non-judgemental space in your sessions providing a trusting, respectful and accepting professional therapeutic environment for you.
What will sessions look like?
I am passionate about putting you as my client first during sessions. As a qualified Person Centred Counsellor, I offer you the space to work at your pace, follow your lead and where it takes you whilst you explore your unique life experiences. My skills and experience enable me to look at promoting your empowerment and your understanding of what it means to be YOU which can prove to be life changing.
My experience and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) means I can also offer structure to your sessions as you uncover your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and indeed reflect on any physical symptoms you may experience as a result. Working in an educative and collaborative way during your sessions I can help you to focus and develop strategies to take outside of your session into your daily life to promote the change you want.
With my commitment to you at the heart of therapy I undertake continued professional development to enhance my knowledge and engage in regular monthly supervision sessions to ensure my continued ethical and professional way of working alongside being a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
