Diane Lazenby Registered Member MBACP, The Counselling Service Boston Spa
Hello, my name is Diane Lazenby and I offer counselling in Boston Spa, Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
I have many years' experience gained within the NHS, private practice and a number of third sector organisations. I provide caring and effective professional counselling at reasonable rates to individual adults and young people.
I am skilled in long term and time-limited therapy and have helped many people successfully deal with a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement and loss, separation and divorce, feeling overwhelmed, anger, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, health concerns, childhood abuse, work related issues, sexuality, bullying, family issues, low self-confidence and trauma.
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I am dedicated to meeting the highest professional and ethical standards.
The decision to have counselling can be quite daunting. I think it is important to provide a safe environment where it is possible to develop an open, honest and supportive relationship so that clients feel valued and free to examine issues at their own pace and to their own agenda.
My practice is situated in a quiet and discreet location near the centre of Boston Spa with private off-road parking. Boston Spa is convenient for travel from Leeds, Harrogate and York and, being just off the A1(M), is easily accessible for clients from North and South Yorkshire. The village is also served by regular public transport.
If you feel I may be able to help you or if you would like more information please don't hesitate to contact me in the strictest confidence and without any obligation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
