Diana Cox Accred. CBT Psychotherapist & Integrative Counsellor, EMDR Therapist
Hi, I am Diana and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. There are times when life throws us challenges which can make us feel anxious and low in mood. It can dampen the resources that we naturally would use and cause us to be overwhelmed. Our experiences are unique to us and the resulting emotions that consume us can vary with situations that we encounter. Addressing difficult issues within therapy can steer us towards solutions that could have previously been unattainable.
I would like to enable you to explore these resources, on a 1:1 basis, using a collaborative approach that is appropriate to you within a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental environment. I place great importance on developing the therapeutic relationship which I consider will empower and allow you, as a client, to be actively involved in managing your emotional and physical wellbeing.
I am accredited and qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as well as Integrative Counselling with over 16 years experience in mental and physical health. I am also a trained EMDR and ACT therapist. These therapies have been recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) as evidence-based for improving health and managing anxiety and depression.
My specialities include Anxiety specific disorders [Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)], Depression, Trauma and Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Relationship Difficulties, Phobias, Perfectionism, Pain Management, Long-Term Health Conditions, Work-related stress, Bereavement, Pregnancy and Birth, Low Self-Esteem, Low Self-Confidence.
I am committed to ensuring that you have access to an optimum quality of care. It is essential to find someone you can be comfortable opening up to; therefore, I am happy to speak with you, prior to a first meeting, to discuss the service I offer and/or therapeutic approaches I use. I am currently able to provide appointments on Saturdays and most weekday evenings. I welcome referrals and contact via email and/or telephone and look forward to hearing from you.
