Diana Conroy (Focused Wellbeing)
About me
The clients and couples that I work with come from all walks of life and cultures. As well as working with individuals, couples and families in the U.K on a huge range of issues and difficulties, I offer online sessions worldwide. I recently worked as a Staff Counsellor for the United Nations in Afghanistan, so I understand first-hand the challenges of working in conflict zones and mission life. With a background as a Senior Practitioner in an NHS community mental health team, I have an excellent grasp of different diagnoses and have done additional training on working with complex PTSD, depression, anxiety and stress.
A typical session looks at what you've got going for you, your strengths and ways of coping well, and then focuses on building on these and getting you to the life you want, as quickly as possible. The name of this ethos is Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I have a Diploma from BRIEF (www.brief.org.uk), Europe's most renowned centre for SFBT.
I have worked in the wellbeing and mental health field since 1998 and clients never fail to amaze and inspire me! I also have expertise in adult attachment and couples relationships, and the solution focused approach is well suited to helping with all types of relationship difficulties.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
