About me

I believe that we all have the resources within ourselves to understand and heal from experiences we have found difficult to overcome. I endeavour to provide a safe, empathic, non-judgemental relationship, which will open up the potential for you to recognise and grasp those resources within you that seem to have long been hidden. Seeking help for what are considered to be mental health issues such as depression or anxiety can be difficult. Seeking help to overcome grief or trauma is not easy. I offer a safe, confidential relationship in which you will feel accepted and understood.

You may find that taking a step towards exploring what feels the most difficult to look at, is a step towards the you that feels lost.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, having trained for four years at The University of Warwick. I have experience volunteering as a Samaritan listener and working with survivors of rape and sexual violence for RSVP in Birmingham alongside my Private Practice.

I am on the accredited register of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to it's Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Therapies offered

Our first session of up to 50 mins is £10. This will be an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and the way I work, and for me to understand what you hope to gain from counselling.

If you decide that you would like to work with me after our first session, my fee is £50 per hour.

I believe that investing in our mental health is an important step towards self-determination. I also recognise that financial struggles may prohibit the opportunity to do so. My fee is negotiable in order to take individual circumstances into account in the hope to provide access to all.

Further information

My therapy room is on the ground floor with a step into the house.

I would consider providing sessions at your home, within a 10mile radius, if you have mobility difficulties preventing you from accessing my service.
