About me

I am an experienced and qualified Integrative Counsellor/ Psychotherapist who tailors my skills, techniques and what type of therapy to work with according to my clients needs.

I bring warmth and insight to my therapeutic work, which enables me to engage with my clients and work productively to help them reach their goal. I enjoy the work I do immensely as I help my clients to restart their lives again, gain self awareness and lead a more satisfying and fulfilling life. I have a passion for people, their minds and their well being and understanding of the difference that can be made to an individual once given the right support and a safe environment where they can express themselves with no judgement, empathy and confidentiality and as a member of the British Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors I work to their Ethical Framework.

Sometimes life throws different obstacles in our way, these issues can be a result of many things, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, problems at work, school, anxiety, depression, addictions, eating disorders, anger issues, low self esteem, loss of direction in life or even embarking on making major changes to your life, etc. Any of these situations that come about can be difficult, frightening and stressful for an individual.

I also work with Narcissistic Victim Syndrome and Narcissitic Personality Disorder.

This is where I could be of help to you as I use a variation of therapies according to your needs. To ascertain how we will work together initially I would invite you for a 30 minute assessment/ consultation which is free of charge. From there you can decide if you feel I am the right Therapist for you and we can discuss how you would like to move forward.

The therapeutic approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Approach, Person-Centred Approach, Gestalt Approach.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
