About me

I am an experienced counsellor, hypnotherapist and life coach, working with people from all walks of life. I provide a safe and welcoming environment to help you feel comfortable without feeling judged or criticised.  I will work with you to reach your end goal and ultimately feel better about yourself and your life. I use different techniques, depending on each client and structure each treatment plan accordingly.  All sessions are strictly confidential.

I also offer an integrated approach to counselling and coaching for those clients who wish to build on the work done during counselling. Counselling helps clients uncover and understand certain experiences or events, while life coaching helps them to move forward in a positive way, unlocking their potential along the way.  However, this personal consultancy may not suit everyone which is why each therapy can be used together or on their own.

We are living in an ever-changing, challenging world and life can sometimes be difficult. We may occasionally need a helping hand to overcome the stresses and strains of everyday life, or someone to listen and help put things into perspective. Anxiety and depression can be isolating, grief sometimes affects us in ways we didn’t expect or we may feel angry with the world for no apparent reason. Whatever the problem, it helps to talk about it.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications are as follows:

  • Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (MNCS)
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory
  • Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (MHS)
  • Diploma in Life Coaching (Blackford Centre)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Industrial Psychology)

In addition to my qualifications as a psychotherapist, I have also worked within the financial services and education industries, both of which have provided me with valuable experience regarding the anxieties and stresses of working life.

I am committed to continuing Professional Development to enhance and update my skills to be able to provide my clients with the very best care. I work within the ethical framework of the National Counselling Society for good professional practice.  I am insured and have regular clinical Supervision.
