About me

I am a town centre based counsellor with easy access by public transport. I have 12 years experience working with adults and young people. I have a lot of experience dealing with a range of difficulties such as anxiety and depression. If you would like to meet and chat about how we might work together, I offer the first session free of charge.

if you are struggling at the moment to get out of bed in the morning and the day ahead seems never ending whether you are going to work, school, college or staying at home, then sometimes it is good to talk to someone to explore possible ways of helping yourself.

I am an Accredited Integrative Counsellor and I offer a safe and welcoming environment where you can share your thoughts and feelings without judgement, in a way that feels right for you.. I have worked with adults with a variety of issues, from stress at work due to workload, relationship problems with colleagues and bullying. Many of the clients who come to see me suffer with anxiety and depression which is interfering with them functioning in their normal everyday lives. For many people they just don't know what's wrong, they just don't feel good. Having someone to talk to and hear you can be very helpful.

I have worked extensively with young people aged 11 to 18 both within the school environment and at home. In particular I have worked with young people struggling with exam stress. Young people are under a lot of pressure to perform well in school and in exams as well as keeping up with their friends. Parents are often at a loss to know how to help and their relationship with their children can be affected. Talking through some of these issues often helps to rebuild these relationships.
