I offer one to one person centred counselling and supervision from my home and I would also be willing to travel to different organisations to offer either group counselling or supervision within in an organisation. I have had a lot of experience in working on the telephone and enjoy working in this way and I also have used Face Time too.
Training, qualifications & experience
I started counselling in 1989 when I became a volunteer counsellor with the then Scottish Coucil on alcohol. I then moved on to an organisation called "Off the Record" where I counselled young people who were between 16 and 25 years and as a result in 1996 decided to go and develop myself further by doing the Diploma in Counselling at Strathclyde University which I completed in 1998. I worked briefly as a counsellor at Stirling Association for Mental Health but in 2002 was offered more permanent work at Stirling University in the counselling and wellbeing team working with students on a one to one basis and in groups. I recently retired from this position in March 2016. I am a trained supervisor also, I completed the PCT Britain post-diploma certificate in supervision in 2006.
I have a wealth of experience to offer both clients and supervises.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I would like to offer fees on a sliding scale between £30.00 and £40.00 but this would be discussed at the initial appointment.
