About me

Honest, effective, creative treatment, grounded in evidence.

I am an established private & NHS UKCP registered psychotherapist. Trained and experienced in leading evidence-based treatments and in Integrative Psychotherapy, I tailor a way of working to meet your unique needs and personality style to help you achieve genuine sustainable progress.

Working from my practises in City of London, Harley Street & Mayfair, I help people with a wide range of difficulties, from complex diagnosed mental health conditions, to feelings of depression and anxiety, low self esteem, and difficult relationship and workplace problems.

Further Information

I understand every client to be unique in their personality and needs, and that while one therapeutic approach may be very helpful for a particular client, for another it might not be. I am trained in Integrative, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT) and informed by neuroscience and neurobiology, which enables me work in a way best suited to each client; for example, providing plenty of space for you to tell your story, placing a greater or lesser emphasis on your childhood, using more or less structured thinking and diagrams, or perhaps trying gentle but effective behavioural experiments or body based regulatory techniques.

I work in a warm, supportive, open and collaborative way, making sure your voice is heard and respected and that you come to understand yourself; your needs, conflicts, anxieties, defences, and relational patterns on a much deeper level, enabling you to explore alternative ways of being and relating, to help bring you greater satisfaction and stability.

I believe that it is important that you understand the therapeutic process and your progress and so I regularly offer and invite feedback. While I can and do offer short-term help, I find working longer term with periodic reviews can be more effective in creating lasting change. If in our initial assessment session we agree that your needs would benefit from a particular alternative approach, I will offer you the option of a referral to an established and trusted colleague.

For more information on how I work, please consult my website.

Initial Contact

Sometimes the hardest thing about psychotherapy is making the initial decision to ask for help. We may tell ourselves that our problems are too small, people are tired of listening to us, that we should ‘be over it by now’. Alternatively after a life of being let down by those we trusted, we may be losing hope that help is even possible. Although psychotherapy is not always easy, it can help you. You can contact me by phone or email to set up an initial appointment and I will respond as soon as I can.

Unless we are in agreement that your situation warrants more frequent psychotherapy, sessions are normally fifty minutes long and once weekly at the same time and location.

I work from the Harley Street area (17 Cavendish Sq, W1G 0PH), Mayfair (53 Davies Street, W1K 5JH) & City of London (148 Leadenhall St, EC3V 4QT)

My fees range from £90 - £130 depending on time and location. As is practice, I operate a one week notice period for session cancellations. Please contact me for more precise information on consultation fees.
