Denis Victor, Fda Integrative Counselling, Registered MBACP
Hello my name is Denis
I run a private counselling and therapy service based in Taunton Somerset. I provide people a safe space to explore any presenting issues in complete confidence and in a non-judgemental and ethical way.
I work with Individuals, Teenagers, Adults, Families as well as Groups to explore a wide range of concerns and struggles. I offer short and long-term counselling and Therapy.
Respect for each individual’s needs, goals, values, and point of view is of paramount importance to my work.
All people, regardless of race, colour, age, nationality, gender identity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, and political affiliation, will be treated with respect and dignity while I work with them.
What is my approach?
My training is integrative, which means that I draw upon a range of different therapeutic models, but it is essentially humanistic and existential. This means that I value your subjective experience and in our sessions the work will be tailored to your individual needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed three years of training, my initial therapy training was at the Iron Mill College in Exeter where I gained a certificate in counselling. I subsequently gained a degree in integrative therapy from the University of Worcester.
I continue to find ways to expand my knowledge of counselling and therapy developing my practice all the time.

Drumming in Therapy Taunton Somerset
Rhythm permeates everyone’s life. It is in everything we do, we see we feel and it is within the circadian rhythm of our bodies as well. Rhythm is a fact of life. I am very passionate about playing drums to improve people’s lives and health . It is well documented and evidenced that drumming accelerates physical healing, boosts the immune system, produces feelings of well-being and releases emotional trauma. I can run sessions for individuals, NHS, Schools or any mental health related groups. I wait to hear from you

My work is fully supervised by registered supervisors and I continually update my professional development.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I trained as a teacher, but also enjoyed a long and successful career as a youth worker, support worker and several other roles. I work with a wide range of people of different ages and social backgrounds. I am also interested in working with people from black and ethnic minority backgrounds and other minority groups.
Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, stressed, or isolated? Would you like to try something practical, fun, inclusive, accessible that helps relieve stress, helps improve clarity, mindfulness and healing? I also work using African drums with groups and individuals.
