I work from a perspective of affirmation. I believe that we all have inner strengths we can tap into particularly when life becomes challenging. My role is to help facilitate this process, help you unravel the situation and guide you in acquiring the tools to be successful and thrive. I use a combination of therapy, mindfulness and coaching as appropriate.
Typical areas of concern for clients include anxiety, depression, feeling sad or overwhelmed, loneliness, low self esteem, lack of confidence, gender, sexual orientation, work or career related issues, stress, family or relationship issues, redundancy, bereavement, and difficulties coping with life transitions such as divorce, retirement or empty nest syndrome.
I am a psychotherapist trained to work systemically with individuals, couples and families. This is important to note as there are different skills and knowledge required to work with couples and families. Always check that your prospective therapist has the appropriate training. I work with hetero and same sex couples.
I also work with clients, their carers and loved ones where there are health or medical concerns, both short and long term.
