Belfast BT5 & Castlewellan BT31

About me

I am a counsellor based in central Belfast. Everyone is an individual and I walk with people on their journey to become more self-aware. I have supported individuals with; relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, addiction and various other issues.

Previous clients have said; 'I feel I know myself now! thank you!'

' I have my life back!'

' Alcohol had been ruling my life - now I

You do not have to struggle alone - I can support you through difficult times.

Are struggling with anxiety?
Are you having relationship difficulties with your family?
Counselling can help!

The Source Wellbeing Centre is a very central location within walking distance of the city and easily accessed by car or bus.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have attained a BA in Psychology and Social Policy (2004), a Diploma in Counselling(2007) and a Diploma in Management Studies (2012).

I have experience working with many individuals with varying issues. These often were underlying substance misuse. I have worked from April 2008 til May 2013 for a treatment provider for substance misuse in Kent. Prior to this I worked in Belfast in a therapeutic community for individuals with mental health issues.
My experiences in both these organisations has given me the experience of working with various issues. My specialism is addiction as that has been my main focus for the past five plus years but as I have mentioned when this is unraveled a number of underlying issues can be discovered.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
