ISSUES: If you are having difficulties, you deserve help to feel better. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, addiction, panic, bereavement, divorce, low self esteem and confidence, I will work with you to help you gain clarity and explore ways to help you cope and feel or behave differently, to find acceptance or make necessary changes.
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES: If your relationship has hit difficulties, then you can work together with me to find ways to explore, understand, accept and make any changes that you agree together. Whether you have experienced a loss of direction, arguments, change of feelings, betrayals, affairs or even separation, we can explore together in a calm, non-confrontational way that helps you both to understand each other's views and maybe experience a change of perspective. Moving forwards together with common goals is always possible, provided you both agree. I am a Person-Centred, Integrative Counsellor, which means I utilise a variety of counselling skills to specifically meet your individual needs. I am warm, friendly, supportive and experienced and will offer you complete respect, without any judgement whatsoever. You will be able to discuss whatever you choose in counselling, at your own pace, in a completely relaxed environment. Don't suffer in silence - make your appointment today.
INITIAL CONTACT: Please telephone, text, or contact me through my website (see all links at top of this page).
FIRST SESSION: We will meet at a time that suits you and I will explain my Counselling Service, answer any of your questions and we will complete a counselling contract together, which is very straightforward. You are not tied to continue counselling, if you change your mind. You will be able to ask as many questions as you like in order to completely understand the process. We will then discuss what has brought you to counselling and discuss how you might prefer to explore your issues. You can say as much or as little as you like during the first session but the more you feel able to open up about your issues and engage fully in counselling, the more you will get out of the sessions. Remember these are your sessions and we will work together to find the best way forward for you.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING COUNSELLING?
You are free to talk about whatever you choose to at your own pace. I will listen to you carefully and respectfully, never judging, whilst supporting you and encouraging you to gently explore your issues or situation. This can help you to see things much more clearly, gain clarity, understanding or acceptance and find possible answers to your difficulties. We will work together to help you explore any changes you might wish to make, or simply to find ways of coping with your current situation. Often just talking about your difficulties helps you to see matters in a different light and think about them differently. You may begin to see ways of improving your situation or feeling differently about things. Counselling can help you feel better about yourself and about your situation. It can help you to feel empowered to make any changes you would wish to make.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING COUPLES COUNSELLING / RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING
You are your partner will be able to attend sessions together in a calm, friendly, neutral environment. You will be able to explore your relationship issues, in a non-confrontational way and discuss matters and feelings which have been affecting you both, without judgment. I will help you find ways to talk respectfully, considerately and constructively about your issues during counselling, so that you can increase understanding, tolerance and compassion towards each other and become more clear about what is going on for you both. You will both be able to explore your difficulties and agree ways towards improving communication and helping you move forward together more positively.
