About me

I am a warm, experienced and professionally accredited counsellor based in South Ealing, W5.  I offer counselling and psychotherapy in a safe and confidential setting and bring many years experience of working with a broad range of issues.  I am committed to helping my clients make sense of and work through their difficulties; to make changes that are important to them, and ultimately, to find more fulfilment in their lives.

I offer an initial assessment session where you can explore, in complete confidence, any issue that is troubling you. It is an opportunity for me to find out a little about you and what brings you to counselling, and for you to see whether you would like to take things further.

Whatever issues you bring, the breadth and depth of the work we do together will involve me helping you to identify what is useful to you as we go along and then tailoring the work accordingly.

If you have any queries or would like to discuss arranging an appointment, please call me on: 020 8560 1143 or 07793 068959; or email me at deborah@savilledeb.co.uk .  I will be glad to help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been counselling clients since 1999 and am qualified with an Honours Degree and Professional Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling.

I trained at the Metanoia Institute, Ealing - a well established training provider in various humanistic approaches.

I am a Registered and Accredited member of my professional body, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ('BACP') and follow the Association's Code of Ethics and professional practice guidelines.

In addition to working in private practice, I am Director of a local counselling charity in Ealing - EACS.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I generally offer early morning or late afternoon appointments during the week; including evening appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays. I work Friday mornings up until midday.
