Debbie Mitchinson - BSc PGCE PGDip. MBACP
Here at Resilience, my mission is to provide a premium service for all your emotional health and well-being needs. If you are feeling unhappy, worried, anxious, depressed, distressed or stuck it can be helpful to talk it through with a psychotherapist; a person who is trained to listen and support you in working through troubling or difficult emotions.
"How Do I Get Through This?"
Sometimes we just don’t know why we feel the way we do, but we know that we want change to occur. If you are asking yourself, “How do I get through this?” it can be valuable to talk to someone who will listen without judging; someone who can work alongside you to explore your feelings and personal experiences and help you understand them or make the changes you are wishing for.
It Is Not Always Easy To Share How We Are Feeling
It is not always easy to talk about what is happening for you; counselling sessions offer help to enable you to get in touch with and build on your inner resources and strength, facilitating you to manage life more effectively.
Also available "How To Worry Less" Course. A blend of gentle guidance in mental wellbeing and psychotherapy. See Further Information for details or visit www.resiliencecounselling.org

Training, qualifications & experience
You will be supported by a highly qualified professional
I am a qualified teacher and psychotherapist with a passion for mental health matters.
Having worked in education for many years, I have learned, through supporting many children and adults, that our emotional wellbeing impacts on all areas of our lives. Emotional health is as important as physical health.
Sessions tailored to your individual needs
I am a university-trained psychotherapist who will provide an understanding, supportive and confidential service tailored to your individual needs.
My core training is in person-centred therapy, which places the relationship between the therapist and client at the centre of counselling. If you feel safe, secure, respected and valued, you are more likely to be in a position to explore your inner feelings and thoughts. I will not judge or tell you what to do but may on occasions give information or offer suggestions.
You can be safe in the knowledge that your therapist works to BACP professional standards.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
BACP counsellors are required to have regular supervision which provides professional support and ensures their work is monitored in order to provide the best possible service for clients.
