Deborah Lamb Counselling
You may be looking for a counsellor to talk about a particular issue or you may have several concerns. Everyone is different and comes to counselling with their own history, culture and life story.
How I work.
I provide person-centred counselling, this therapeutic approach emphasises the uniqueness of every individual and their capacity for personal growth.
I will listen to you in an empathic, authentic and non-judgmental way and respect the fact that you are your own expert. I will work along side you to help you find your potential and enhance your well-being. My emphasis is on self-empowerment and compassion.
My background and experience.
I have worked as a counsellor within the charitable sector and in the NHS, in Women's Health and Cancer and Palliative Care departments. I have experience working with people with (and those affected by) cancer and life limiting illnesses.
I come from a teaching and IT training background and I've been a full time carer.
My private practice is in Hackney E5, where I have a welcoming consulting room.
I offer an affirmative space to Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse people and I have worked within LGBTQI+ counselling settings.
