About me

Welcome, my name is Deborah Jones. Are current or past issues holding you back? I provide a safe, confidential place for you to talk and explore these, allowing you time to be heard, understood and accepted.

I can help you utilise your strengths to feel more confident about the way ahead.

I work with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or confidence issues, trauma, grief loss and bereavement, stress relating to life adjustments, your work or relationships.

I run my practice from my comfortable private counselling room in Barnstaple. I am currently working face to face and online. Recognising that each counselling journey is different, the number of sessions and frequency will be arranged to suit you.

I am a former teacher with an advanced diploma in Counselling for Children and Young people. In addition, I am an Advanced Drawing & Talking practitioner. I have experience of working with children and young people and can use play and creative techniques in addition to talking therapies.

My experience of working in schools has given me clear insight and understanding of the pressures that teaching creates, together with the stress of maintaining a work-life balance when working in an educational setting. Therefore, I offer a discount for anyone working in schools.
