About me

Welcome to my listing.

When life brings you situations that you find difficult or overwhelming, you do not have to struggle alone. Whatever you are going through, talking to someone can help you to feel supported and held, as you navigate your way through challenging times or situations.

As an Integrative therapist, I offer a warm and compassionate, confidential space for you to bring any issues which may be troubling you, and my aim is to support you in making sense of your situation, or your life, and to help you find a sense of inner well-being. My approach is empathic and non-judgmental, and I see each client as a unique person with individual needs. It is in building a supportive and trusting relationship, where you feel listened to, that you can gain deeper understanding and self-awareness. In supporting you with whatever area of your life you are finding difficult, we can work together to help you discover inner resources from which the changes you desire can occur.

I am a fully qualified counselling therapist, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework promoting good practice, and I continually update and improve my work through regular further training and supervision. As well as my counselling qualifications and experience, I bring my experience and previous study in the body-mind relationship, through previous training in Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy.

I also offer Bach Flower remedies as a support for challenging times or emotions.

I work in Langport in Somerset, not far from Taunton, Yeovil and Bridgwater.

Choosing a counsellor can be daunting, so to help you to take that first step, I offer an initial 15 minute telephone session, in which we can explore the possibility of working together.

I welcome young people and adults from 18 years onwards.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
