Welcome and thank you for taking the time in viewing my profile....

The thought of counselling and psychotherapy can seem daunting. We all can experience times in our lives when things are difficult or when something is causing us stress, sleepless nights, anxiety and worry, or perhaps when feeling a little stuck or lost in life's journey. Talking in confidence to a professional, accredited and experienced counsellor will help you to live a fulfilled life again or gain control of your symptoms.

Call today for a friendly discussion and discover how counselling can help you.

Each and every client is individually unique, even if two clients present with the same issues, each have their own unique experiences, emotionally, psychologically and physically. I often work in an eclectic way which allows me to customise the therapy to meet the unique needs of you the client. By personalising the therapeutic experience it allows me to best address and respond to your unique needs. I ensure that the most effective therapeutic models and techniques are integrated into your counselling.

My practice provides you with a safe, comfortable, relaxed and discrete space for you to fully explore your concerns and difficulties. I offer you a down to earth, friendly, trusting, honest, confidential and non-judgemental counselling service with a dedicated and focussed time slot just for you without interruptions. I offer short term, long term and open ended therapy, along with brief support therapy sessions for those who need either a one off session or perhaps brief support sessions.

I strongly believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I have a warm and inviting collaborative approach to my counselling practice which allows me to be enquiring and at times challenging in order to bring out the best possible outcome for you.

I am also a Mindfulness practitioner and coach, I may use Mindfulness techniques, stress and anxiety coping and management strategies to help you with your symptoms. Using Mindfulness allows you to focus and become aware of your internal experiences. The process allows you to observe and notice your thoughts, feelings and any sensations by fully accepting them without ruminating on your internal story or negative thoughts processing.

I am an accredited registrant of the National Counselling Society (NCS) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by their code of ethics. In doing so I practice at a high ethical standard, I attend regular supervision and carry out frequent continued professional development training in order to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.

Further information

I'm well aware that many people have work and family commitments that makes time very limited and prevents people from being able to attend counselling and psychotherapy in practice which means they are unable to access the support and services they need. Some people also have physical problems and struggle to leave their home in order to come into my practice.

I offer sessions online using Vsee which is the most safe and secure platform to use. It is free for you to download on your laptop and other devices and allows a face to face alternative to therapy sessions and enables you the opportunity to access my services where ever is best for you. Sessions work in exactly the same way as a face to face session in my practice and sessions are bound by the same ethical considerations.
