There can be times when we feel we need to talk to an independent person away from day to day life. Would you like to have quality time for yourself to explore personal and emotional issues in a safe, quiet and relaxing environment?
Have you felt as though life is out of balance or control, as though things are a struggle or just too challenging? Unwanted feelings can surface such as anxiety, depression, fear, guilt, feeling sad, feeling unhappy or a general sense of loss. Experiences, change and decision making can be difficult to accept or feel confusing. The reasons for coming to counselling are unique and individual to each person.
How counselling can help
Counselling can help you understand yourself better, build your confidence and self value, develop self awareness and personal growth. Counselling may help in coming to terms with different aspects of life and can help you develop your full potential. In counselling you decide what is right for you, you decide what you want to talk about and you set the pace. This may include talking about life events (past and present), feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour.
I am passionate about counselling and I make every effort to be with, understand, accept and see the positive strengths in clients. I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and my practice is based on the theory which believes that every person has the inherent capacity to resolve difficulties and improve his/her life. I offer a friendly, professional counselling service with warmth, empathy and respect. My role as a Counsellor is not to provide answers or give advice but to enable you to deal with your situation better.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and I offer a confidential and non judgmental environment working within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
When deciding to come to counselling it is important that the Counsellor is the right Counsellor for you. This enables a trusting, therapeutic relationship to build up between the Counsellor and you. If you have any questions about my counselling service or you want to discuss arranging a pre counselling session, please feel free to contact me to discuss your aims and expectations.
