Further information
I am an experienced, mature, Counsellor, Couple's counsellor and Hypnotherapist. I bring a wealth of life and work experience to the Therapy room having spent all of my working life supporting many of the most vulnerable in society within the Criminal Justice system. It was my work with victims and families who have lost loved ones through crime that inspired my desire to become a therapist. I offer a broad range of therapeutic expertise, working with trauma, anxiety, depression, bereavement, smoking cessation, self-defeating behaviours, phobias and my chosen specialisms, solution focussed couple's counselling and weight loss management.
As an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor, I welcome clients from a diverse background who may be struggling with their identity, expectations of society or who have suffered due to the lack of understanding and tolerance of others.
As a Pluralistic counsellor, I encourage my clients to become part of the decision making throughout their therapeutic journey. My clients are encouraged to express their wishes and feedback on what works for them in the therapy room. I will always listen to that feedback and work collaboratively with my clients to support them to reach their goals.
