Debbie Vaile MBACP
Hi my name is Debbie and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor which means I am trained in several therapeutic approaches in tailoring sessions to meet your specific needs. This means I am able to integrate Person Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT theories in supporting a better understanding of your thought processes and feelings and what may drive your behaviours.
Life can be challenging at times and can present us with varying degrees of problems that can feel difficult to cope with on our own. These challenges may affect our quality of life and result in emotional difficulties and low mood. This can sometimes lead to depression, anxiety, stress and tensions affecting our well-being, our relationships and ability to function effectively.
Difficulties may relate within the present or arise from our experiences in the past impacting on how we behave and identify now. We may feel restricted in confiding with those closest to us. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore areas of concern, gain insight and deepen awareness, without judgement or criticism. My focus is solely on you and your needs in supporting you in gaining a better understanding of how you think, feel and behave. My aim is to assist you in working through challenging feelings and in achieving confidence and resilience in supporting yourself in making changes that feel right for you in moving forwards in life.
The quality of the therapeutic relationship is a key factor in promoting change and personal growth for individuals. It is important that you feel comfortable in being able to share openly your concerns with me. I am not here to offer my opinion or give you advice. I am here to provide support and an empathic approach from which I hope you will experience being heard, understood and accepted.
Please feel free to contact me for an initial discussion which will be confidential and free of obligation to consider your requirements and whether I may be the right counsellor for you.
