Debbie Talbot MBACP (Registered)
Welcome to Crookes Counselling.
Hello, I’m Debbie. I offer counselling from my own home in Crookes, Sheffield S10.
Sometimes life can feel an uphill struggle. From my experience counselling can be so helpful in understanding those uphill struggles we all face. I have a breadth of experience working with young people aged 16 - 19 years old and adults, having managed a counselling service in a Further Education college in Preston, Lancashire for 10 years. My work involved both long and short-term work and supporting students in crisis. I have a broad experience working with most issues that clients bring but particularly anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties.
Being heard and understood, I believe, is one of the most powerful experiences we as humans can offer each other.
I believe in offering a relationship which has, at its heart, a respect for the individual and a willingness to listen in a non-judgemental way. I trust that you have the answers to the situation or difficulties you are experiencing; by understanding yourself and your situation in a clearer way, you will hopefully feel empowered to make choices and decisions to establish a way forward.
No difficulty or problem is too small; if it's important to you then it's important to me.
Recently retired, I moved to Sheffield to be near family. Having set up Crookes Counselling, I am excited to be offering counselling from home.
Accessing counselling can feel, for some, a daunting prospect. If you would like more information about my approach do visit my website at www.crookescounselling.co.uk
If you would like to arrange an appointment or have any questions you would like to discuss then you can either email or phone me (details above). I look forward to hearing from you.
