About me

With a passion for listening and always having been 'someone's shoulder' to cry on , I decided it was time to follow my dreams and become a qualified Counsellor. With the children off my hands and with a lifetime of experiences (not all good), I embarked on my new challenge. I have never looked back. As long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by people and their behaviour, why do we say and do the things we say and do?

Its now my mission to provide a safe and comfortable space for you, in order for me to listen to you without judgement, in the hope that I can help you to overcome the difficulties facing you. Sometimes, just being able to offload to someone 'neutral' who can listen in confidence is a starting point. A problem shared is a problem halved! I recognise that everyone is different and 'one size' doesn't fit all, therefore different approaches to your therapy are sometimes necessary in order to find out what is going to work for you.

You are not alone. Everyone in their lives encounter problems, some current and others that have been present since childhood. We could all benefit from having some counselling, unfortunately, most of us don't. Just the thought of going for counselling can come with its own fears.

The first step of any journey is the hardest, find the courage and take it.

I provide a friendly service with an initial 30 minute session free of charge. This gives us the opportunity to meet and briefly discuss your situation and what you would like to bring to counselling. (This will not be a counselling session). It is very important that we feel comfortable in working together. This initial meeting gives us that opportunity without any obligation.

As well as daytime appointments, I try to be accommodating, providing weekend and evening appointments where possible.

I am a member of the National Counselling Society and fully insured.

Please e-mail or call me for any further information? I look forward to helping you.
