The Natural Health Centre
24a The Thoroughfare
Established in Suffolk since 2008.
Thank you for taking an interest in my services. I can offer you my extensive experience and a strong training portfolio to back up my skills.
I have worked in the field of Mental Health for almost two decades. With senior roles spanning the Charity Sector, Local Government and the NHS. I am a fully qualified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 70 courses in qualifications and specialist training achieved so far.
With this strong background, I am also a Clinical Supervisor; providing training, guidance and support to other Counsellors and Psychotherapists; ensuring that safe, ethical, clinical and legal standards are upheld.
Your safety and the success of your therapy is my priority.
In line with the Data Protection Act 1998, and from May 25th 2018 the new GDPR Legislation, I offer you a private and strictly confidential service.
I work actively to ensure that the standards of Equal Opportunities are upheld; also offering my services via Skype/video link to those who cannot, or who prefer not to, meet me in-person at any of my comfortable treatment rooms.
I live in a quiet village in rural Suffolk, with my Partner and our dogs. I am a keen Writer and I keep a Blog, offering interesting articles on Psychotherapy and many other subjects. I also enjoy art; something that I can use within therapy to help those clients that may have difficulty expressing themselves.
I meet all of the Registration requirements that enable me to display the logo of the Professional Standards Authority; you can be assured of the highest standard of treatment and care.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I have a decade and a half of experience in helping people with a broad range of personal difficulties. I am an 'Integrative' Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I am an Accredited Member and a Registered Member of the National Counselling Society; on the Accredited Register of the Professional Standards Authority.
I am recognised by The National Counselling Society as an 'Approved Supervisor' and I am in their directory of Approved Supervisors.
I have a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, plus a range of other qualifications; achieving more than 70 qualifications and training courses in my life, so far. Details of all of my qualifications and training courses can be found on my web site.
In my career, I have designed, commissioned and performance managed some of the top therapy and treatment services in the country; setting the standards for therapy. I bring my skills and experience of delivering treatment and care through the NHS, Local Government and leading UK charities to my private practice in the beautiful English county of Suffolk. You can be assured of a high standard of expertise.
Choosing a therapist can be daunting. I recommend you check to ensure that the Counsellor or Psychotherapist has the following:
- Qualification to practice and evidence of ongoing training / qualifications.
- Insurance to practice.
- Accreditation by an Accrediting Body.
- Accredited Register status; showing the logo of The Professional Standards Authority.
- His / her own Clinical Supervisor, who oversees their practice.
- Testimonials offering positive feedback by previous clients.
I meet all of the suggested checkpoints listed above and will be happy to give you more details about these, if requested. Please visit my web site for further information.

The Natural Health Centre:
There are several car parks in Woodbridge - probably the most convenient one is the Turban Centre / Budgens car park.
From the Turban Centre car park, walk towards the main street (the Thoroughfare) and turn left when you get to Boots.
Continue along the Thoroughfare, until you see the entrance to the Natural Health Centre on your left, opposite The Cake Shop Bakery.
