Dawn Britten MBACP (Accred), Practitioner Dip. CBT
I am a fully qualified Counsellor and an Accredited Member of BACP. Working ethically in a safe, calm, professional, and non-judgemental environment.
I have worked in charitable support agencies in the community and currently work for the IAPT NHS Service with Counselling for Depression. My previous work experience includes roles in corporate environments in the City of London and working in the NHS.
Whether you need help to deal with anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem or confidence. I also work with depression, bereavement and loss, confidence, self esteem, domestic abuse, health anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and family or relationship problems.
I use an integrated approach incorporating Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused and Transactional Analysis tailored to suit your requirements.
Counselling can give you the opportunity to explore your issues, find support, focus on solutions and move on to a more fulfilling life. It may help you look at your life from different perspectives. The process of talking about your issue may help you to see aspects you have never thought of.
Your first session is an Initial Assessment costing £15. Further sessions cost £40, each session lasting 50 minutes.
This initial meeting enables me to answer questions you may have about counselling, and to helps to identify your main concerns and areas you may wish to work on. It will also give you the opportunity to decide whether I am the right counsellor for you.
