About me
I am a qualified person-centred counsellor who will walk alongside you as you navigate your way through your feelings and emotions. My own personal experience of mental health and being on the receiving end of constructive and beneficial counselling has taken me from the role of client to counsellor and means that I have a full understanding of the challenges of day to day life, when you are struggling to cope internally.
I am a registered member of the BACP and work in line with their Ethical Framework, to ensure a safe working practice.
Our Work Together
I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space, where you are free to talk about whatever you wish without the fear of judgement or disapproval. During our work together, you do not need to be anybody but your true, authentic self. This is time for you to speak freely, without having to act in your role as a partner, parent, sibling, child or friend. Having this time to speak about whatever it is you wish to talk about, in an environment which is warm and empathic, is incredibly empowering and can help you see things more clearly. The work which we undertake together can help you with past or current issues or situations and together, we can explore your feelings.
I work with a range of issues some of which include the aftermath of a traumatic birth, postnatal depression, chronic and life changing illness, grief, relationship issues, anxiety and depression.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
