Dawid Bogon PGDip CBT, BSc Psychology(hons), BACP(reg)
Hello! My name is Dawid. I am a CBT counsellor. My photo was taken in Cornwall. As you can see I enjoy being in nature (look at that smile). I can walk on cliffs for miles, this really relaxes me. I want you to feel the same and support your wellbeing.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy where we work together to recognise and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours which may be causing you difficulties. Initially, we would set achievable goals for future sessions and the final destination of where you would like to be.
CBT is short-term so don't worry about spending years in therapy (and loads of money), it's usually between six to twelve sessions. I perfectly understand that people have better things to do than attending therapy sessions but sometimes this can be really useful thing too. Once you learn some new useful skills you become then your own therapist so won't need me anymore!
I specialise in issues such as anxiety and depression. Also, I can help if you experience chronic depersonalisation and/or feelings of unreality (derealisation). I have much experience working with people from sexual and cultural minorities as well as with those presenting learning difficulties such as Asperger's, ADHD, Dyslexia etc. I'm bilingual, I can speak polish too.
I strongly believe that our mind has extraordinary potential to heal itself. It just needs a right environment and some useful tools to do so. I'm here for you to listen, to understand and help you find the right tools to enhance your wellbeing and feel better.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
