I help people to feel more OK. We work together to change things about you, your life or your relationships or simply to help you to understand yourself better.
I offer one-to-one psychotherapy sessions only online in order that I can be available outside my locality and across the UK.
I offer a free 20 minute introductory session so that we can discuss how I may be able to help. You can book an appointment for this through my website: davinarobertson.me
I tend to work with my clients slowly and gradually over a longer period of time, although, of course, only as long as you are finding it helpful. We usually start by committing to six weekly sessions then review whether it might be helpful to continue.
I work with people who are living with difficult past or present experiences or situations and want to uncover the inner resources and resilience to do this.
The sudden and traumatic loss of a child by suicide is one of the most profound experiences a person can be faced with and finding those inner resources and the way forward can be extremely challenging. I aim to offer safe and healing spaces for parents who have lost a child this way.
Whatever it is that you are concerned about, it is so important for you to find the right therapist for you so please do not hesitate to book an introductory session through my website.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am a bereaved parent myself having lost my son to suicide when he was a teenager. So I know how it can feel as if the whole of our life has been changed beyond recognition and that we will never be OK again.
