About me
I help people to feel more OK. We work together to change things about you, your life or your relationships or simply to help you to understand yourself better.
I offer one-to-one psychotherapy sessions only online in order that I can be available outside my locality and across the UK.

I tend to work with my clients slowly and gradually over a longer period of time, although, of course, only as long as you are finding it helpful. We usually start by committing to six weekly sessions then review whether it might be helpful to continue.
I work with people who are living with difficult past or present experiences or situations and want to uncover the inner resources and resilience to do this.

- I am a qualified and experienced trauma-informed psychotherapist.
- I have taught counselling skills and studies in a local college.
- I have worked in an NHS IAPT service as a psychological therapist.
- I have worked in a community service supporting people who have lost a family member to suicide.
- MA in Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute and Middlesex University 2012
- Degree in Psychology and Maths with the Open University 2001
- Diploma in Person Centred Counselling 1999
- I regularly engage in additional training for professional development,
- I am a registered member of BACP and abide by their ethical agreement.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
