About me

I’m a qualified therapist with several years’ specialist knowledge in High Sensitivity and High Sensation Seeking, and am here to help you along your journey.

To see if I can be the right therapist for your life progress, I offer a free 30 minute online session to see exactly what brings you to counselling and to check if I can be of help.

I offer both short and long-term support and specialise in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and parents of Highly Sensitive Children (HSCs).
For more details on this and links to HSP tests for adults and children, please see my website.

About you

Are you a sensitive person that feels overwhelmed on occasion?  Do you tend to overthink and overanalyse, ruminate, finding it difficult to stop?

Do you have a strong sense of fairness yet feel you haven’t achieved your potential, perhaps struggling to fit into “normal” society?

As a child was your sensitivity recognised, appreciated and praised?

Do you find it hard to take criticism, whether just or not, which can cause you to doubt yourself?

Is it difficult to say “no” perhaps due to guilt? Similarly, do you shy away from confrontation or conflict, preferring to blame yourself?

Do you prefer deep meaningful conversations to superficial small talk or gossip?

Does simply being you take huge amounts of energy as you process so much requiring down time, which your partner, friends, colleagues may not understand?

How counselling can help

I can help you understand your own sensitive needs, helping you to know yourself more, and reach your core issues. You can then work towards making any changes you wish to make in your daily life. You may need to identify patterns that no longer serve you, if they ever did, and put healthy boundaries in place so you can be the best you can be.
You might choose to be less hard on yourself, leaving perfectionism behind and simply being “good enough”.

Your evolution may include accepting your sensitivity in the first instance, both the strengths and more challenging aspects, before arriving at the point of living as a confident HSP.

You can choose to live your own life with respect the way you wish and not according to what society says is “normal”, which may not serve you and your life journey.
