David Whitehead Reg. MBACP
Hello, I am David and I work with the person centred approach. I am on the BACP Register. I have a wealth of experience of working with people both in a counselling environment and also in industrial relations and have a keen interest in the absence management uses for counselling therapies. I have extensive experience of working with people with domestic violence and abuse issues and work in a non-judgemental way to help people with any issues they may be facing.
I am down to earth, genuine and caring and work with you, at your own pace, on whatever agenda you may have. Whatever you have to say is what is important to me. I will not push you or direct you to talk about things until you are comfortable and the time is right for you.
I am honest and have integrity - I will not ask you to book any minimum number of sessions - you are in control and i am sensitive to the fact that different people have different requirements and financial restraints.
The Person centred approach is based on the theories developed by Carl Rogers. At its core it respects the client's view of the world and their right to be the driving force in their therapy. It is non directive and non-judgemental and allows you the freedom and respect to explore any issues.
Where I work
