About me
Background
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I spent almost 20 years in the corporate world, in the latter stages leading large global cross-functional teams and delivering complex change programmes within the Banking and Wealth sectors. I understand the relentless demands of high-paced environments—the pressure to perform, the weight of responsibility, and the toll it can all take on your mental and emotional wellbeing.
The breakdown of a significant relationship was the turning point in my life and catalysed my transition from a successful career in the City. Therapy provided me the space to discover the pain I had long carried deep within, to let it go, heal and begin living free. Now, I support others in doing the same—helping people get unstuck, find breakthroughs, and begin living lives that truly resonate with who they are.
My Approach
Alongside running my private practice, I’ve worked with various organisations, supporting clients in both short-term (12 sessions) and long-term (12+ months) therapy settings. Notably, I spent over two years at Mind, where I worked with individuals facing a broad range of challenges including:
Addiction, Anger, Anxiety, Childhood Abuse, Depression, Divorce, Grief, Hopelessness, Identity, Low Self-esteem, Relational issues, and Sexuality.
Clients often ask how many sessions they’ll need. The truth is—there’s no set formula. I’ve worked with people who found the clarity they needed in six sessions, and others who continued for well over a year. The pace of progress depends on many factors: the depth of emotional anguish, your personal history, and most importantly your readiness to do the work. Therapy with me is not about fitting into a model—it's about meeting you where you are.
When you are ready, you will find that this work can be deeply transformative. I’ve seen people let go of burdens they’ve carried for years—sometimes a lifetime. It’s a profound privilege to witness the changes that occur when long-held psychological blocks are released, allowing new space for hope, connection, and freedom.
How I Work
Whether we meet online (where I have additional training) or face-to-face, my priority is to create a space that feels safe, warm, and confidential—where you are seen, heard, and supported.
My approach is rooted in empathy, acceptance, and when needed, gentle challenge to help you gain clarity and shift perspective. If you’re looking for a therapist who crosses their legs whilst quietly taking notes from behind their spectacles, only offering the occasional "hmm"—that’s not me.
I work relationally, which means I show up as a real person placing great importance on the therapeutic relationship we build together. Many of our wounds are formed in relationships, so it makes sense that healing should also come through one. In fact, research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most significant factors in successful outcomes.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your unique needs and goals. These may include:
- Transactional Analysis (TA)
- Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytical approaches
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
- Mindfulness-based practices
- Humanistic approaches such as Person-Centred and Gestalt
This holistic approach allows us to work flexibly and deeply—whether you’re looking to:
- Increase your self-awareness
- Identify and change unhelpful patterns
- Gain practical tools
- Make empowered, conscious choices
- Find emotional healing
- Rewrite the stories you’ve told yourself about who you are, your worth and your future

Further information
Addiction & Compulsive Sexual Behaviour
I have a strong personal and professional interest in supporting those impacted by addiction, especially porn and sex addiction. With lived experience in this area, I understand the shame, secrecy, and isolation it can bring and have witnessed the devastating impact it causes the addict & their loved ones. I know what it’s like to appear to have it all together on the outside, while carrying a gaping insatiable need on the inside. Sex is a precious and powerful gift of life. Unlike chemical addictions, the goal here isn’t necessarily abstinence - but rather, a shift toward healthy, fulfilling sexual expression. As Johann Hari said, “The opposite of addiction is not sobriety - it is connection.”
Through our therapeutic alliance, I can help you explore whether your behaviours may be compulsive, support you on your journey toward greater connection, intimacy, and joy, and equip you with tools to help you stay free.
Final Thoughts
Whatever has brought you here - whether it’s addiction, another specific issue or a sense that something in life just isn’t working or feels missing - I invite you to take the next step. You don’t have to do it alone.
