About me

If you are looking to foster more fulfilling relationships and to live with a deeper sense of meaning and wholeness, then I can help you.

Perhaps something has happened and you need someone to talk to?

Perhaps you're overwhelmed and struggling to cope with your life situation right now, and to express yourself fully within it?

Perhaps you'd like to share some difficult thoughts and feelings in confidence?

Perhaps your body is is trying to tell you something, and you'd like some help making sense of it, and learning to work with it rather than against it.

Or maybe you just have a feeling deep down that there is more to life, and to you, and you want to explore that calling?

Whatever it is that's led to you being here now, reading this, I know from my own experience how helpful weekly sessions with someone professionally trained can be.

My name is David and I am a qualified and professionally trained therapeutic counsellor, and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I trained in Psychosynthesis (at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London).

My approach is considered 'integrative' as it draws from a range of modalities, but I enhance my practice with somatic therapeutic techniques, working creatively with the body.

I offer an initial 30 minute online or telephone conversation, so that we can meet before you decide whether or not you'd like to begin some sessions of therapy together.

For the time being I am only seeing clients on Zoom.

My practice is open to people aged 18 and older and is LGBTQ+ friendly. I believe that therapy is for everyone.  Get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (Level 7), Psychosynthesis Trust in London.
  • In addition to my private practice, I am a Training Assistant at the Psychosynthesis Trust, which runs high quality training programmes for counsellors and psychotherapists.

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, attend regular supervision, have full professional insurance, and continue ongoing professional training.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
