David Jones (MBACP / ADV.Dip.Coun)
Thanks for looking at my profile and hope you find the information you need.
I am an experienced qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working a short 5 minute walk from Clitheroe town centre offering Professional and Confidential Counselling within a private and comfortable setting. (Free on site parking)
I practice as an Integrative counsellor and work closely with the human givens model of psychotherapy which means that i am able to work using a wide range of different counselling skills and therapeutic approaches in order to meet your needs.
The human givens approach focuses on the present difficulties and looks at practical solutions to relieving emotional distress as quickly as possible.
I believe every person is unique and so I work in a variety of different ways in order to help develop insight, create greater awareness and understanding of why problems may have arisen and explore how positive change can happen. Some people may only require a single visit but i also provide both long term and short term support in line with my clients needs.
As well as working in private practice for the last 7 years i have over 16 years of experience working within both the NHS and the voluntary sector supporting clients with various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, relationship issues, bereavement/loss, low self esteem, obsessional compulsive disorders as well as trauma related illness and PTSD.
Counselling provides a safe space to explore your emotions and thoughts, whether you are just feeling stuck in a rut, lacking in direction, having relationship problems, or you may be experiencing more complex mental health difficulties. Whatever the reason you are considering counselling it could be the next step in making the change you need.
If you are unsure if counselling/psychotherapy is for you please give me a call with any questions you may have or drop me an email using the link below and i will get back to you as soon as possible.
Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available.
Home visits also available.
