The decision to consider therapy can be difficult. It can provoke anxiety about opening up to a new person and can bring up other uncomfortable feelings from past experiences. While therapy can be challenging at times an empathic, supportive and unconditional therapeutic relationship can be very healing. It is where you be fully accepted and can grow. I offer you a therapeutic relationship free from judgment, criticism and expectations where the only agenda is to support you in your process.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a UKCP registered integrative transpersonal psychotherapist working in private practice and GMT.
I work with a variety of psychotherapy methods and modalities and integrate them to suit your process. Your experience of the therapeutic process will be different from anyone else. I work with the mind and body and incorporate creative imagination, dreamwork, visualisation and mindfulness when suitable.
I have extensive experience working with individuals who experience anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues and LGBT issues
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
There is no obligation to commit to a number of sessions. You will have the autonomy to decide when it is time to end the therapy. I invite you to send me an email to set up an informal chat and explore the possibility of working together online.
