About me
I'm all too aware that picking up the phone or sending an email and asking for help can be really difficult. In fact it can be a truly overwhelming experience for someone to take that first step and if you are reading this, then you're nearly there..My approach focuses on providing you with a confidential space where you can feel safe, understood and trusted as you start to explore the reasons why you feel the way that you do.
I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy in both Sissinghurst, Kent, and Wimpole Street, Central London. I use an integrated approach which draws on Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural theory and I like to draw on the strength of the therapeutic relationship which for me, has always been pivitol for the client to experience a shift in the relationship with themselves and others..
I am also a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP) and subscribe to their ethical code of practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
My principle qualification is a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from Roehampton University.
I have worked for a large charity providing therapeutic support for individuals on low income and I also work in private practice. I founded the company Recover-now in 2006 which provides advice and support for people looking for help around their own or a loved ones addiction. I am also the co-founder of The Recover Clinic (2010) which is an out patient therapy clinic in Kensington, London.
I work with all types of addiction such as Chemical (drugs, alcohol etc..) and behavioral (relationships, sex and gambling). I work with families or concerned friends to encourage addicted individuals to get help, sometimes involving an intervention and referral to a residential rehab clinic, either here in the UK or abroad. I also help clients coming to terms with their adoption and their subsequent feelings of Low self esteem and potential feelings around shame.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

£80.00 per session
Additional information
My fees are £90.00 per 50 min appointment in Cranbrook for individuals, and £110.00 per 50mins for couples. I charge £130.00 per 50 minute appointment in Central London for individuals and £150.00 for couples.
When I work
I am able to see clients during the week up untill 9pm and on certain weekends.
