About me

*** I work with online platforms which are accredited as being encrypted and fully confidential - Signal or Zoom. ***

I am a Person Centred Counsellor practising integratively using a variety of techniques to assist my clients to find their solutions and then work towards their intended goals.

Whether you feel your dilemma is behavioural, emotional or spiritual, I believe that in our working together you can discover more of your inner being and strengths and become enabled to move forward positively.

Your sessions are therefore - about you.

As a supervisor, working with counsellors, I bring a wide and deep breadth of experience into the supervision sessions. For other professions such as medical, nursing, health visitor, social worker, the following might apply.

As a member of the caring professions, your service contract might require you to undergo external supervision during your time of employment. Supervision is often understood to be a management tool to ensure compliance to the required standards pertinent to your role.

However, External Clinical Supervision is about you.

How are you really “being” as you work to optimise your delivery of care? What issues are you facing domestically and professionally that you would rather not discuss with your managers, spouse or partner?

Often an exploration of your whole life & way of being alongside your professional processes can be very insightful, leading to empowerment and levels of fulfilment which have been previously absent.

External Clinical Supervision helps you thrive and not just survive.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, a Diploma in Counselling, and a Clinical Supervision Certificate and have held Ministerial Credentials. I have over 2000 hours of counselling experience.

Having had experience as a community and NHS  pharmacist, church minister, husband, parent & grandparent over the past forty odd years, I consider that I am able to understand the problems and issues that can trouble a human being.

Whether you come to me for counselling or supervision, you can be assured that I am ready, willing and able to help.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Wheelchair user access

I have rooms on the ground floor in Elgin & Buckie but in Elgin there is no ramp into my premises.
