My life journey has been one of challenge and I am not alone, we all have challenging times in our life and often these can seem like desperate and dark places.
The role of the counsellor is to create a confidential, safe, caring and non-judgemental space for the client. A space where the client can bring their fears and concerns and where the counsellor can help facilitate the client to identify new possibilities and insights into what may seem like difficult and often desperate situations.
As a counsellor my aim is to help you to grow, live your life to the full and become the best version of you.
As well as training as an Integrative Counsellor I am also a Licensed Human Element Practitioner. The Human Element gives me a unique insight into helping you identify the lens through which you see others and through which others see you. I help you to identify those patterns in your life which often cause you to see things in a challenging way, or to avoid or make decisions that are not in your best interests. I cover areas including anxiety, relationship issues, panic disorder, depression and family issues.
My understanding of counselling and the Human Element model enables me to provide life coaching which can really help to frame where you are now and where you want to be going forward. Below, you can see some more specific information regarding how I can help with your career progression.
To get started on your journey then please call or email me and we can discuss further how I can help you. If you are happy that we can work together then we can arrange our first session at a time which suits you. After this first session, we can set up weekly/fortnightly sessions depending on which is most appropriate for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
- I have a BACP Accredited Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London.
- I am a licensed Human Element Practitioner and completed my training with the Schutz Company in New York.
- Talent Dynamics Practitioner
- I have completed a coaching qualification with JCA Global
- I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP)
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I provide unique and empowering Career Counselling.
Before becoming a counsellor, I had a long career in the public and private sector as a team member, a team leader and a senior manager. I know what it takes to progress, but more importantly, I am able to quickly identify the factors that hold a person back from fulfilling their full potential.
I recognise that people often have challenges at work. They may range from anxiety through to bullying. Issues at work have an impact on the career choices we make, and people can often become deeply frustrated and stuck in a loop of despair. The approach I use offers the opportunity for people to free themselves from a negative cycle and shift themselves to the next step. The approach works for both people who are stuck and have had traumatic experiences, but also for people who merely want to accelerate their career, make a career change or a step up to the next role.
I work with people to:
- Identify key skills
- Identify key achievements
- Produce compelling examples for an interview which are aligned to the specific role and organisation.
- Produce a compelling CV/Professional Profile
- Talk with confidence and ease about yourself, your offering and your experience
