About me

Expressing your thoughts and feelings in confidence, and with someone who can ensure a caring and empathetic space is empowering.  Making changes is not easy, and that is precisely why I engage a very human approach to a number of models of talking therapies.

I have a great deal of experience in counselling for extreme and persistent low-mood, often referred to as anxiety and/or depression, and ultimately a loss of self -  who you are.  This might be, amongst a number of adverse life experiences, the consequences of bereavement, substance misuse, including alcohol, or psychological trauma - in which I specialise.

Emphatically - my belief is that what happens to us in life is of greater importance than what is perceived to be wrong with us.
