Dave Dobson Psychotherapy - Registered MBACP
Finding a therapist is a very personal process. As a Person Centred Therapist, I believe that our relationship will be vital to the progress of the therapy, so I offer a free assessment meeting, where we can explore how we would work together.
I work to promote a safe, non-judgemental, confidential atmosphere where we can look at the areas that are affecting your life. I want to be by your side as you make the journey to the "you" you want to be.
I strongly believe that the Person Centred approach values the client as a complex individual (not just a list of their diagnosed issues), respects their autonomy, and promotes therapeutic change which can bring about positive results.
I have worked with both adults and children across a very broad range of problems, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationships, addictions, stress, abuse and PTSD.
I would be very happy to answer any questions you have either by email or phone, and you can also get more information from my website.
How to start
Ring or email for an initial chat.
If you want to take things further I will arrange a free, no-obligation, assessment session (30 minutes) where we can talk in more detail about your requirements and work out how we would work together.
Following the assessment, if you wish to continue, then we would meet weekly for an hours therapy session. I can generally arrange the time of these appointments to best suit your needs and requirements.
