About me

I am passionate about supporting individuals with their psychological health and well-being. As a MBACP Integrative Counsellor & Therapist, I have experience of working with children, young people and adults in both educational and medical settings. I believe that counselling and psychotherapy is a creative and collaborative process that has the ability to embrace the leadership and autonomy of individuals that desire positive change.

How I work:

I work in a client-led way face to face, digitally and through telephone communications as I offer a bespoke service to each client drawing upon schools of theory such as the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred and the Humanistic approach. This allows clients and I to explore the past and how it impacts the present, identify and release hidden trauma, dissect painful cycles or negative thought patterns, making space for self-discovery and growth and the reconnection with; self,  friends, family or society.

Next Steps:

Prior to working with clients, I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, which gives clients and me the opportunity to briefly discuss the reasons in which they would like to engage in counselling before committing to weekly sessions.  If after the telephone consultation you decide you would like to go ahead, then together we will agree on a suitable start date.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
