Danielle Glennon - Counsellor & Psychotherapist MBACP(Reg), MBPsS, MA
You may be looking for therapy for a number of reasons... perhaps struggling with an eating disorder, unwanted changes in your life, or managing difficult feelings or behaviours? Or maybe you have recognised a troubling pattern in yourself or perhaps something less defined that you are trying to make sense of.
Over the years I have become a leading specialist in eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety, depression, family problems and interpersonal relationships in the NHS and private sector. I am a published researcher and also work as the Clinical Specialist Lead and Senior Psychotherapist / Supervisor at the world re-knowned South London & Maudsley NHS alongside internationally acclaimed Professor Treasure, Professor Schmidt & Dr Kate Tchanturia. Qualified as an integrative psychotherapist I have many years experience working with a wide range of issues. I'm only a click or phone call away for you.
Talking to a therapist may help you to gain an understanding about the issues(s) troubling you. I can provide a private safe space just for you to think about where you are and where you want to be. Therapy aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable. It can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. I will be there to support you and respect your views. I will help you find your own insights into and understanding of your problems.
To tailor the right treatment therapy for you, I use a variety skills & tools and therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), maudsley approaches, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution focused therapy and specialist supportive care. If you are suffering from an eating disorder you'll have the added reassurance that I can monitor your physical health including blood pressure, pulse, temperature along with you weight. If you wish I can also be in close contact with your GP.
I have many years experience as a psychotherapist/supervisor & nurse having completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons in Psychology, a Masters (MA) in Counselling Psychology, a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing. In addition: completed supervision training at Institute of Psychiatry and Postgraduate certificate in Family Therapy. Full member (Reg) of British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists, and currently accrediting as a counselling psychologist.
The Central London practice is just of Oxford Street / Bond Street, easily accessible from all over London. Kings Langley consulting rooms is based in Kings Langley and covers Hemel Hempstead, Watford, Abbots Langley, Apsley, Chipperfield, Berkhampstead, Sarratt, Bovingdon, and St Albans.
